DocketEdge™ Membership

Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: June 2, 2025

TThese Membership Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the services offered by DocketEdge™ ("we," "us," or "our") to you ("you," "Client," or "Member"). By subscribing to our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Membership Overview

DocketEdge™ provides subscription-based litigation support services designed to streamline your legal operations, enhance productivity, and reduce the overhead of hiring in-house staff.

Membership Plans include:

  • Core Plan: $3,000/month – includes support for up to 8 active cases per billing cycle.

  • Premium Plan: Custom pricing for firms managing 9+ cases or requiring white-label delivery.

  • Overflow Add-On: Optional per-case pricing for additional cases beyond the plan limit.

  • White-Label Branding: Available exclusively on Premium Plans or as a paid add-on (+$500/month).

Custom plans and additional support can be tailored to your firm's specific needs upon request.

2. Scope of Services

Our memberships include a wide range of support tasks essential to the litigation process. Depending on your plan and requests, our services may include:

  • Legal demand letters and notice drafting

  • Case intake and summary preparation

  • Discovery responses, including objections and compliance

  • Drafting deposition notices and scheduling assistance

  • Motions and pretrial filings

  • Status tracking and litigation calendar support

  • Notary services may be requested for document authentication, client affidavits, and supporting declarations. These services are offered only where permitted by law and subject to availability.

Important: DocketEdge™ is not a law firm. We do not offer legal advice, court representation, or e-file directly without your instruction. All services are intended for use by licensed attorneys or law firms.

3. Case Substitution Policy

We understand that priorities may shift. Therefore, if you assign a case but later decide to change it, you have 5 business days from the date of the first draft delivery to request a substitution.

After this window, the case will be considered active and will count toward your membership’s case cap, whether or not you move forward with the matter.

4. Turnaround Times

We are committed to timely delivery. Standard turnaround for most assignments is 3–5 business days from the date of assignment, depending on scope and complexity. Requests requiring expedited handling may incur a rush fee or be limited by capacity.

You will be notified if additional time is needed based on volume, urgency, or incomplete information.

5. Payment Terms

A. Membership Fees

  • All plans are billed monthly in advance.

  • Invoices are due within 5 calendar days of issuance.

  • Services will be paused after 5 days of non-payment.

  • Memberships may be terminated after 30 days of non-payment.

  • No refunds will be provided for unused services or early cancellations.

B. New Clients

To initiate service, new clients must pay in full prior to assignment. No services will be rendered until payment is confirmed.

C. Returning Clients in Good Standing (60+ Days)

After maintaining a timely payment history for 60 days, returning clients may request Net-15 terms, which will be evaluated case-by-case and limited to 5 active matters until the balance is cleared.

D. Contingency-Based Firms

For firms relying on settlement disbursements, we may offer post-settlement billing for specific matters by written agreement only. A 10% service fee and signed deferral addendum will apply.

E. A La Carte and Overflow Services

Overflow or standalone services outside of your membership are billed separately. Payment is due in full before delivery. A 50% deposit may be accepted for large projects, with the balance due before final files are released.

F. Notary Services

Notarization is not included in membership pricing. Notary services are billed per signature or per document at the applicable rate for your state or jurisdiction. If mobile or remote notarization is required, an additional convenience or travel fee may apply.

6. Confidentiality & NDAs

We respect the confidentiality of your cases and clients. All data and drafts are handled in accordance with professional standards. DocketEdge™ is happy to sign a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) at your request as part of onboarding.

7. File Use & Ownership

Work product delivered by DocketEdge™ is intended solely for use by the subscribing firm. You may not resell, redistribute, or provide our documents to third parties outside of your own client matters.

Any reuse across unaffiliated entities or publication without permission is strictly prohibited.

8. Intellectual Property

All templates, systems, internal processes, and original work products remain the intellectual property of DocketEdge™. Membership grants your firm a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use documents created for your active matters during the subscription term.

9. White-Label Branding & Delivery

White-label delivery (documents branded and delivered under your firm's name) is only available on Premium or Custom Plans, or as a paid add-on to the Core Plan.

If you are not on a white-label plan:

  • Documents will be delivered directly to you for client delivery or filing.

  • Upon request, we may send documents directly to your clients or file them on your behalf.

Filing Fees: Any associated fees (court filing, research, postage, delivery services) are the client's responsibility and will be billed separately.

10. Review & Approval Policy

All work products are submitted for your review and approval prior to delivery, service, or filing. You may edit or request revisions as needed.

DocketEdge™ will never file, serve, or deliver documents to third parties without your written consent.

Final review and legal responsibility always rests with the licensed attorney or firm.

11. Client Onboarding Agreement

Each subscribing firm may receive a tailored onboarding package that outlines:

  • The agreed plan and pricing

  • Key contacts and communication expectations

  • Preferred file formats and delivery methods

  • Optional NDAs or testimonial clauses

This package is signed at the start of your membership and updated if your tier or needs change.

12. Client Testimonials & Consent

We may ask for testimonials to help promote our services. These are always optional, and no feedback will be published or used publicly without your express written consent.

13. Cancellations & Termination

  • You may cancel your membership with 15 days’ written notice before your next billing cycle.

  • Early cancellation does not result in a refund for unused services.

  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts for abuse of services, failure to pay, or non-compliance with these Terms.

14. Limitation of Liability

We deliver work based on your instruction and scope. While we take every precaution, you and your legal team are responsible for final review and compliance.

We are not liable for damages, delays, or loss arising from errors unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

15. Disclaimer

DocketEdge™ is a litigation support service provider. We are not a law firm, do not provide legal representation, and are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Clients will be notified of changes in writing. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
